Recent Efforts
2023 Sustainability Engagement Survey
The Sustainability Engagement Survey was completed by 228 staff in March 2023. The survey demonstrates an increase in sustainability engagement at the Zoo since 2019, with the overall score increasing five points. Knowledge about how to be sustainable at the Zoo, what the Zoo is doing to be sustainable, and familiarity with sustainability concepts all have increased over the past four years.

Conservation & Sustainability
Conservation and sustainability folks at the zoo are strategically partnering to engage staff and guests. They will work together to update existing communications, research engagement strategies, and educate the zoo community.
